Katie Lee and Alex Milway

Writing duo Katie and Alex were placed in the BAFTA Rocliffe Children’s Media Award in 2016 for their comedy drama script ‘Darke Times’; a fantasy adventure about a little girl who is mistakenly employed as a ghost hunter’s assistant.

Katie was shortlisted for the Funny Women Comedy Writing award 2016 with her script ‘Mum Life Crisis’ and is also a journalist; having written for most major newspapers, and co-founder of a groundbreaking digital publishing agency. In 2008 she was voted one of London’s 1000 most influential people by the Evening Standard.

Alex is an internationally published children’s book author and illustrator, with a new series called Hotel Flamingo published in 2019 (also represented for adaptation by Clare Israel at David Higham). His series Pigsticks and Harold (Walker Books) was optioned by Jam Media, and presented at the 2014 Cartoon Forum. He is the founder of the This Book Is Funny! children’s book scheme working with schools and libraries and runs children’s workshops around the UK, in China and the US.

In 2018 Katie and Alex adapted a book for Live Action Comedy Drama adaptation for Zodiak Kids, writing a pilot, bible and trailer.
