Katie Lee and Alex Milway

Katie and Alex write together and separately across a number of mediums and between them they have earned recognition in a number of high profile awards

Katie was shortlisted for a Bafta Rocliffe in 2019 for her mystery drama script Followers and shortlisted for the Funny Women Comedy Writing Award 2016 with her script Mum Life Crisis. Katie is also a journalist and copywriter; having written for most major newspapers. Voted as one of London’s 1000 most influential people by the Evening Standard in 2008 after co-founding a groundbreaking digital publishing agency, Katie was also one of the UK’s first Vloggers!

Katie loves writing female focused comedy and comedy drama with multifaceted characters and a lot of heart.

Alex is an internationally published children’s book author and illustrator, with a successful ongoing series of books Hotel Flamingo currently in publication (also represented by David Higham). His series Pigsticks and Harold  (Walker Books) was optioned by Jam Media, and presented at the 2014 Cartoon Forum. Alex has an exceptional imagination and really understands what engages children.

Together Katie and Alex write children’s middle grade television and following being shortlisted in 2017 for a Bafta Rocliffe, adapted a book for Live Action Comedy Drama for Zodiak Kids in 2018, writing a pilot, bible and trailer.
