Born and bred in The Black Country, Alex became an actor and playwright after various jobs in the manufacturing and building industries. His work has been produced on the stage worldwide and he has also written a screenplay – Noise, funded by Screen Midlands as well as a number of commissions for Radio 4. Tours of his play include I’m a Minger (also nominated for The Brian Way Award) and River’s Up toured by the Oxfordshire Touring Theatre Company. Alex was recently selected to take part on Channel 4’s screenwriting scheme.
