David Higham Writers Selected for BAFTA Elevate Scheme

David Higham writers Emma Reeves, Suhayla El-Bushra and Tahsin Guner have all been selected to take part in BAFTA’s new scheme designed to boost the careers of diverse writers.

Only 18 writers were selected for this year’s scheme which launched last year with a focus on female directors and aims to support individuals from under-represented groups with networking, mentoring, tailored panel discussions, masterclasses and workshops.

Rather than a new talent scheme, the initiative takes people with TV credits who may have faced career obstacles based on their background or circumstances and helps them move up a level in high-end television and film.
