Soma is writing ‘Idol’, an investigation of idol-worship in Western culture and pop music.  Embracing memoir, biography, essay and story, in effect a category-defying whoop of Romantic philosophy, music and nature writing, ‘Idol’ recovers one woman’s identity by understanding the spiritual power of her heroes Bowie and Prince.
