Copper

On Copper’s tenth birthday everything suddenly changes. Prompted by some mysterious and sinister visitors, her aunt sends her away to the Marble Mountains to stay with family she never knew she had. In a bleak landscape of ice and snow, wood and stone, Copper finds herself battling against strange forces trying to destroy her.

At the heart of the mystery lies the story of Copper’s parents – parents she has always believed are dead. The fearsome Granite, king of the rock mountain, holds the key to the truth, but he would rather lock her up than explain. Even the rest of the family living in the Beech house are not telling her all they know. Copper decides that for her own safety she must know what really happened to her mother and father.

But when she discovers the truth she finds herself faced with a seemingly impossible task.
