This title was the seventh and last of the original Pugwash series.  It was published by The Bodley Head as a colour picture book in 1980 and reprinted in 1993.  It will be republished by Frances Lincoln in 2008.

Poor old Captain Pugwash’s worst dream comes true when he is marooned on an island in the middle of the ocean. But worse than that he is not alone, and his fellow inhabitant is none other then his most deadly enemy, the villainous Cut-throat Jake.

All seems lost. But, as usual, quick-witted cabin boy Tom saves the day and the captain and his crew end up sitting on a fortune!
