Tom de Freston is an artist and writer, and is currently the Artistic Director of Medicine Unboxed. His work is exhibited widely, and he has held various prestigious residencies and fellowships, including the inaugural Creative Fellowship at Birmingham University, the Levy Plumb Artist in Residence at Cambridge University, and a Leverhulme Artistic Residency. Previous publications include graphic novels with Bloomsbury and Gatehouse Press. Tom lives in Oxford with his wife, novelist Kiran Millwood Hargrave, and their cat.
His debut work of non-fiction Wreck was published by Granta in 2022, and his second book, Strange Bodies, is forthcoming from Granta in 2024.
