A few years ago, sitting in an office, Tilly had an overwhelming urge to go and make something. On a whim, she signed up to a sewing class . . . and as soon as she started it, she fell in love.
She began a blog to find people that shared her passion. Her blog tracked her progress learning to make clothes and she quickly developed a reputation for making sewing accessible and appealing to beginners through her upbeat, encouraging writing style and down-to-earth tutorials which don’t skip over the details. It is now the most popular sewing blog in the UK. In 2013, she was a contestant on BBC2’s The Great British Sewing Bee.
In 2014, her first book Love at First Stitch was published by Quadrille and was a Sunday Times bestseller. Her most recent book Stretch! was published by Quadrille in 2018.
