Stephen Buoro is the 2018 recipient of the Booker Prize Foundation Scholarship. He has an MA in Creative Writing from the University of East Anglia and a First-Class degree in Mathematics. He is currently studying for a PhD in Creative-Critical Writing at the University of East Anglia on a fully funded studentship. He was awarded second place in the Deborah Rogers Foundation Writers Award 2020 for his debut novel The Five Sorrowful Mysteries of Andy Africa which is forthcoming from Bloomsbury.
