Philida Gili

Philida has illustrated, and sometimes written, a wide variety of children’s books: they include Sir John Betjeman’s only book for children, Archie and the Strict Baptists, picture books by Nina Bawden and Jenny Nimmo and a bestselling pop-up version of The Nutcracker – still selling since 1992, a record for a novelty book.

Her charming illustrations have also been used for calendars, cards and stationery by Laura Ashley, the National Trust, and for advertising.
