Lucy Diamond was born in Nottingham and has since lived and worked in Leeds, London, Oxford, Sydney, Perth and Brighton. She now lives in Bath with her husband and three young children, and is never moving again.
She worked as an editor in publishing for several years, and then at the BBC before turning to writing full-time. She has now written twelve novels for Pan Macmillan, the fourth of which, Sweet Temptation, was shortlisted for the Melissa Nathan Award in 2011. Her book, The Promise, was published by Pan Macmillan in February 2021 and her latest novel, Anything Could Happen was published in hardback by Quercus on the 6th January 2022.
She also writes children’s books under her real name, Sue Mongredien.
