Kristina Spohr is currently the Helmut Schmidt Distinguished Professor at the Henry A. Kissinger Center for Global Affairs, Johns Hopkins University, Washington DC. She is also on the permanent faculty of the International History Department of the London School of Economics. She has a particular interest in post-war Europe and her landmark new book explores the global exit from the Cold War in the period 1988–92, researched and written with the aid of a Leverhulme grant. Post Wall, Post Square will be published by HarperCollins in the UK and by Yale in the US.
Her previous books include an acclaimed study of the former German Chancellor Helmut Schmidt, The Global Chancellor, and a collection of essays she co-edited with David Reynolds, Transcending the Cold War (both OUP).
