Johan Norberg

Johan is an author, commentator and documentary-maker. He is a senior fellow at the Cato Institute in Washington DC, and author of the award-winning In Defence of Global Capitalism.

His book Progress: Ten Reasons to Look Forward to the Future, an exploration of key markers like hunger, early death, literacy and poverty which shows how much better things are for the majority of people than they were 150 years ago, was published in 2016 to considerable acclaim and attention by Oneworld in the UK, and has so far been translated into eighteen languages.

Johan’s latest book, on open societies, is published by Atlantic. He is now working on two new projects: a book about the golden ages of human civilisation, and The Capitalist Manifesto. Both will again be published by Atlantic.
