Guinevere Glasfurd moved south with her baby daughter in 2001 and she now lives on the edge of the Fens, near Cambridge. She graduated with a Distinction from the MA Creative Writing, Anglia Ruskin University. Her stories have appeared in Mslexia and The Scotsman, and in a collection published by the National Galleries of Scotland. Set in 17th Century Dutch Republic Guinevere’s first novel, The Words in My Hand (Two Roads), tells the story of Helena Jans Van der Strom and the unseen relationship she had with René Descartes. It was shortlisted for the Costa First Novel Award.
