Devi Sridhar
Devi Sridhar is Professor and Chair of Global Public Health at the University of Edinburgh. She has worked extensively in policy including as an adviser to the Scottish, UK and German governments, to the World Health Organization, UNESCO, UNICEF, and numerous NGOs. She emerged as one of our clearest and calmest commentators on the Covid-19 crisis. Her first book for a general audience explored the role that politics plays in our handling of such pandemics. Preventable was published by Viking / Penguin and was a BBC Radio 4 Book of the Week and became a Top 10 bestseller.
Devi is now working on a new book, again for Viking / Penguin.
