Caro Ramsay was born in Glasgow and started writing during a long stay in hospital. Her first book Absolution was published to critical acclaim and was shortlisted for the New Blood Dagger and her second book Singing to the Dead was longlisted for the Theakston’s Crime Novel of the year. Her eleventh book, the standalone Mosaic, is to be published in 2019.
Caro still works as an osteopath and acupuncturist treating both human and animal patients. She stays in a village in the West of Scotland in an old haunted house with a deranged mongrel called Emily.
