We are always very happy to read material from potential new clients. The following guidelines are designed to help you with your submission (for Film, TV & Theatre submissions please see the bottom of the right-hand column for separate guidelines).
All adult submissions should be sent to us by post at:
David Higham Associates
5–8 Lower John Street
Golden Square
London W1F 9HA
WE DO NOT ACCEPT ADULT SUBMISSIONS BY EMAIL OR FAX.
Children's submissions should be e-mailed to: childrenssubmissions@davidhigham.co.uk
Guidelines
All adult submissions should be typed with double line spacing on one side only of A4 paper and pages should be numbered.
We can only return material if postage has been included.
Please do not send the only copy of your work; while every care is taken to return material if postage has been included, because of the volume of submissions we receive sometimes mistakes do happen and manuscripts are separated from their postage and accidentally recycled. We cannot take responsibility for loss of or damage to material sent to us.
We try to read the material as quickly as possible but due to the very large number of submissions we receive every week we are unable to acknowledge receipt or give editorial guidance or advice on the material we reject.
Please note that unless we feel we may be able to offer you help or representation, a form rejection letter or email will be sent. This time-saving measure was introduced to allow more time for proper reading and consideration of all submissions.

We are happy to hear from screenwriters and dramatists whose submissions are accompanied by a recommendation from producers, development executives, literary managers at all theatres, course tutors and existing clients. We do not accept any unsolicited material and any such submission will be automatically recycled. In the first instance please write to one of the Film, TV & Theatre agents attaching your CV with your reference.
