"Woman Walks into a Bar" takes place during one day in the life of Sam, 28-year-old single mother of 12-year-old Beth. It opens at Sam's morning tea break where her friends and work mates tell her they've set her up on a blind date for the night. Sam works at the local supermarket. Life has never been easy for her but she's always hoped that one day she'll meet The One. As Sam prepares for the date she remembers back to past events - often difficult, sometimes happy - which have informed how she feels about herself now and inevitably this blind date.
