For Patrick Robertson, it had been a good week. Master salesman from Manchester, connoisseur of hotel bars all over Asia, he's leaving Bangkok with a full order book when he goes for a drink with a beautiful but edgy young woman. When he wakes up it's in the jungle hideout of the People's Earth Friendly Liberation Group, who think he's the other Patrick Robertson, the one from the International Monetary Fund. But can he escape? Of course, using all his skills as a salesman, resulting in a spree of betrayal, murder, theft and impersonation across Asia.
