Laura is an attractive journalist who works for a famous glossy magazine. Even though she loves her glamorous job, which involves interviewing celebs and air-brushing their personalities, when she is offered a job presenting a trendy Friday night television show she cannot resist the opportunity - well would you?

Putting her puritanical Scottish upbringing and intellectual boyfriend behind her, she soon hooks up with an infamous rock god who introduces her to a world of partying and drugs, where appearance is everything. But as stories about her private life begin leaking to the press, she starts to distrust those closest to her, and her life starts to spiral out of control...

This is a very strong, sexy romantic drama about fame and the price you have to pay for it. Agnew is a natural storyteller and the novel is funny and tragic in places, as well as being an enormously entertaining read with a real heart to it. There's plenty of glamour, sex and drugs but Agnew also explores the dark side of being a celebrity, drawing on her own real-life experience of that intoxicating world.
