The comedy series GAVIN AND STACEY, co-created by DHA client Ruth Jones, has been shortlisted for a Writers Guild Award in the category of best comedy/light entertainment. The other shortlisted titles are EXTRAS and THE THICK OF IT.

GAVIN AND STACEY has also received 7 different nominations in the 2007 British Comedy Awards announced today (12th November ) - including Best New Comedy and Best Comedy.

GAVIN AND STACEY is written by Ruth with James Corden (represented by PFD) and launched on BBC3 in May this year to great acclaim. A BBC2 showing followed in August and a second series has been commissioned to film later this year.

The WGGB awards will be announced next Sunday 18th November.
