The Costa (formerly Whitbread) Book Awards shortlists were announced this week and Julia Golding's debut novel, The Diamond of Drury Lane, was one of four books nominated for the Children's Award. The Diamond of Drury Lane has already won the Ottakar's Children's Book Prize 2006 and is also on the Nestle Prize shortlist.
