This year's longlist honours both new and well-established writers, featuring five first novels including DISOBEDIENCE alongside the first ever Orange Prize for Fiction winner; Helen Dunmore took the prize in 1996 for A Spell of Winter.
The shortlist will be announced on Wednesday 26th April, with the award ceremony taking place on Tuesday 6th June.
