Chris Bayly, was awarded the Wolfson History Prize 2004 last night for his distinguished contribution to the writing of history.

Since the Prize was founded in 1972, David Higham Associates has represented three of the other winners, Michael Howard, Eric Hobsbawm and Paul Kennedy
