Sam Vincent

Sam was born in East London in 1979. He graduated in 2000 from Warwick University with a degree in Film & Literature, and worked various jobs whilst writing his first script.
His writing career began when the resulting screenplay, the romantic comedy Who's Jennifer?, was one of the winners of the Times/National Academy of Writing competition in 2003. As of early 2008, Sam is working on a number of projects across film and TV, both solo, and in partnership with fellow Nicky Lund client Jonathan Brackley. He is based in London.

TV DRAMA
Hotel Babylon – commissioned to write episode of fourth series for Carnival Films & BBC. With Jonathan Brackley.

myfriendslovelives – original relationship drama for Tiger Aspect & BBC. Script commissioned.

The Village – multi-platform mystery drama for Kudos & BBC.

Save Me – original romantic comedy thriller for World Productions. With Jonathan Brackley.

0 AE – original online drama. World Productions. Script commissioned. With Jonathan Brackley.

Rookies – comedy drama series. Tiger Aspect. With Jonathan Brackley.

Run – original conspiracy thriller. Cliffhanger Productions. Script commissioned. With Jonathan Brackley.

Darrington – original high-concept comedy drama. Carnival Films & BBC. With Jonathan Brackley.

Anything Can Happen – from 2004-2006, Sam co-created and co-wrote this unproduced BBC relationship drama series.

In addition, Sam is working on two solo spec comedy drama scripts, one about a crap detective, and one about a zombie. He hopes to finish these by the end of 2008.

TV COMEDY

Sam, Jon and Neg are QUEEEN, a comedy writing/performing group, contributing material to three upcoming comedy shows in 2008:

The Wall – Zeppotron & BBC3 variety show, begins April 08.

The Wrong Door – BBC3 sketch show.

The Kevin Bishop Show – C4/Objective sketch show.

Sam and Jon also contributed material to the first series of C4/Objective’s Balls of Steel, in which Neg stars.

FILM
Minigolf: A Major Movie – hired to rewrite this comedy feature by Michael Kuhn’s Qwerty Films. With Jonathan Brackley.

Ten Questions – fantasy romantic comedy, spec idea at treatment stage.

Chris Park Is… - high-concept comedy spec feature, now in early development as a TV sitcom with Carnival Films. With Jonathan Brackley.

Who’s Jennifer? – romantic comedy spec feature.
