Kelley Townley

Kelley Townley wrote her first book aged four and hasn't stopped since. She grew up in the west country and went to school in Cheddar, where they make the cheese (not in the school you understand but in the village). She went to university in London and has toyed with a range of jobs from secondary school teacher to dog groomer - but her favourite is working for Waterstone's where she gets to stack, sort, sell and talk books all day long!

Specialising in teenage fiction, Kelley is involved in numerous related projects such as teenage reading groups, reviewing YA books and the Teenage Fiction Webring. She achieved a distinction for her MA in Writing for Young People from Bath Spa University, and is on the committee for the Bath Festival of Children's Literature.

Kelley is currently writing an action thriller series based in the glittering world of art. The first book is called 'The Birth of Venus'.
