Stephen Dobyns has published twenty-one works of fiction including, most recently, THE TWO DEATHS OF SENORA PUCCINI and THE CHURCH OF DEAD GIRLS, both of which achieved critical and commercial success internationally, and his Saratoga series of crime novels. He has also written ten books of poems, most recently PALLBEARERS ENVYING THE ONE WHO RIDES.
Dobyns' poems have won many awards and prizes, his novels have been translated into some fifteen languages, and two of them have been made into films. He has taught at many colleges and universities, and currently lives outside Boston.
