Richard Partington grew up in Liverpool before completing an undergraduate History degree at Sidney Sussex College, Cambridge. He returned to Sidney to pursue postgraduate research and was later appointed to a Research Fellowship there. From 2000 to 2007 he was the College’s Admissions Tutor and a Fellow in History. During this time he was also appointed to an Affiliated Lectureship in Cambridge’s Faculty of History. Since 2007 he has been the Senior Tutor of Churchill College, Cambridge.
