Peter Snowdon

Peter Snowdon is a contemporary historian and journalist. His previous work includes several collaborations with the renowned historian Anthony Seldon. Having led the research on Seldon’s acclaimed biography of Tony Blair, BLAIR, in 2004, Peter co-authored the second volume BLAIR UNBOUND in 2007 (both published by Simon & Schuster). BLAIR UNBOUND was shortlisted for the 2007 Channel 4 Political Book of the Year Award. In addition to his work with Anthony Seldon, he has also worked on Charles Moore’s two-volume authorised life of Margaret Thatcher, which will be published after her death.

As a political journalist and commentator, Peter has written for the OBSERVER, NEWSWEEK and the YORKSHIRE POST as well as specialist publications. Since 2006 he has worked for BBC political programmes in Westminster, primarily for the POLITICS SHOW.

He is now writing BACK FROM THE BRINK, the definitive history of the Conservative Party's decline and renaissance since 1992, for HarperCollins.
