Helena is a regular contributor to the Sunday Times - where she writes the French Mistress column - as well as Daily Mail Features and the Mail on Sunday's You Magazine, the Daily and Sunday Telegraph, Tatler, Harpers & Queen and the Independent on Sunday.

She was educated at Durham University and worked as a model in her teens while running a clothes stall at Camden Lock selling her own designs.

She lives with her husband and their five children in Languedoc region in the South of France.

Her first book TWO LIPSTICKS AND A LOVER was published in hardback, in January 2006, by Gibson Square and in paperback by Arrow in 2007.
