Trish Cooke (Children's Books)

Trish Cooke has written fourteen books for children including SO MUCH which won the 1994 Kurt Maschler Award, the Nestle Smarties Book Prize and the 1995 She/WH Smith's Under Fives Book Prize. It was Highly Commended for the 1995 Kate Greenaway Medal and also won awards in France and South Africa.

Recently Trish has written HEY CRAZY RIDDLE which was published by Frances Lincoln.

Amongst her other titles are : THE DIARY OF A YOUNG WEST INDIAN IMMIGRANT ( Franklin Watts) FULL, FULL, FULL OF LOVE; THE GRANDAD TREE; MR PAM PAM AND THE HULLABAZOO ( Walker Books); CATCH! (Scholastic).

As well as scriptwriter, Trish was a presenter on the BBC's children's television programme PLAYDAYS for nine years. Her other children's television scriptwriting credits include THE TWEENIES and MAGS & MO and she has also written scripts for YOU AND ME and appeared in the programme. Trish hosted the BBC radio programme 12345. She has acted in and written plays for theatre, radio and television, both for children and adults.

Trish lives in Bingley, West Yorkshire with her husband and two sons.
