Tom Norrington - Davies Is a cook and writer. After studying for a degree in Drama at University of Wales (followed by a bizarre spell dubbing kung fu movies in Hong Kong) he realised that his true love was cooking. Luckily, soon after moving to London he met the team behind the capital’s pioneering food pub, The Eagle. Tom joined them in 1996 and ran the kitchen between 1998 and 2003. During this time he contributed to The Eagle cookbook, Big Flavours and Rough Edges, published by Headline in 2001.
In autumn 2004 Tom’s first solo effort, JUST LIKE MOTHER USED TO MAKE (a homage to proper comfort eating) was published by Cassell Illustrated to widespread critical acclaim. The Sunday Times included it in their top five cookbooks of the year.
Tom's second book was published by Hodder & Stoughton in May 2005. CUPBOARD LOVE brings a whole new meaning to the phrase ‘convenience food’.
Tom writes a monthly column called A Man for all Seasons in Delicious magazine. He is a regular contributor to the food pages of The Guardian and writes on a freelance basis for many publications, including Style Magazine (The Sunday Times) and The Daily Telegraph. He has guested on Radio 4’s The Food Programme and Good Food Live.
Great Queen Street is the latest venture from Tom Norrington Davies - where he is both co-owner and head chef - The Eagle founder Mike Belben and the Anchor & Hope's Rob Shaw and Jonathan Jones. The restaurant was founded a year ago and has received a wealth of good reviews.

Let's face it - you only really make an effort when there are other people around. It's not as though you haven't tried to spice things up a bit. You've bought all the right books and (admit it) a fair few gadgets. You even gave it a fantastic makeover a couple of years back. But the sad truth is that your relationship has gone off the boil....'
