This is the story of two men - deadly rivals who have never met. Both are determined to be the first man to reach the South Pole, but can they survive the extreme conditions of the wind-blasted, ice continent of Antarctica? Each faces the challenge in a different way, but the final glory will only go to one man.
Robert Scott is an officer in the British Navy and has already led an expedition to Antarctica. This time he plans to reach the South Pole, but will his men have the strength to haul the heavy supply sledges?
Roald Amundsen was beaten in his quest to be the first to reach the North Pole. Now the Norwegian is determined to conquer the South Pole before Scott. His plan is to use a crack team of cross-country skiers, dog-drivers and huskies.
There are always two sides to every story...
