Anne-Marie Casey

Anne-Marie Casey was a Script Editor and Producer in UK TV for ten years before becoming a full-time Screenwriter in 2000. Her first produced script was a play, ‘Artemisia’ which was produced on the London fringe. She co-wrote and directed a short film, FORECOURT, in 1998 which was screened on RTE and at numerous Film Festivals worldwide.

Her most recent credits and commissions include:

2009 – ALICE’S REEL – ‘Strictly Ballroom’ meets ‘Riverdance’. Original feature film set in New York and Dublin. In development with the Irish Film Board.

2009 – THE CLINIC – Top rated RTE medical drama. Currently writing Episode 6 of Series 7 for Parallel Films, Dublin and RTE.

2008/9 – INISHOWEN – A love story. Feature film script adapted from the novel by Joseph O’Connor. In development with the Irish Film Board and Footnote Productions.

2008 – GRACE – Short film co-written with Joseph O’Connor for the History of Ireland in 10 minutes strand. Anne-Marie to direct.

2007/8 – BABY JANE – Original mini-series about adoption.
2 x 52 min episodes for Parallel Films, Dublin.

2007/8 – THE CLINIC – Episode Nine of Series 6, transmitted November ’08 and Episode Six of Series 5, transmitted October ‘07 on RTE 1.

2006/7 – ANNER HOUSE – A romantic drama. TV Movie set in Dublin and South Africa (90 mins) adapted from a short story by Maeve Binchy for RTE, Ireland. Producer Littlebird Films. Starring Liam Cunningham, Flora Montgomery, Conor Mullen. Transmitted at 9.30 pm on Easter Sunday, March 2007 on RTE 1.

2003/8 – THE BURNING OF BRIDGET CLEARY – Historical thriller. Feature Film script from the book by Angela Bourke. Producer Martha O’Neill of Wildfire Films, Dublin. Developed by the Irish Film Board. Thaddeus O’Sullivan to direct. Scheduled for production in 2009, starring Ruth Wilson (BBC’s Jane Eyre)and Michael Fassbender (Hunger).
