Stuart has written for THE BILL, CROSSROADS, CASUALTY and BALLYKISSANGEL and has also worked as a script editor or producer on a number of series. His stage plays have toured with great success and he co-wrote an original comedy drama pilot for World/BBC with Mick Martin.

Theatre
Stuart has written, directed and produced for the stage for over 15 years as well as teaching Drama to degree level. There have been more than 20 professional tours/performances of his plays and countless more productions of work he has directed. Companies he has worked for include: Northern Stage, SNAP Theatre, Opera North and Theatre Powys. His adaptation of ‘Crime & Punishment’, sold to sell out crowds in Moscow as part of a joint project with the Moscow State Theatre of Nations.
