Author and screenwriter, Mark Burnell, is the writer of several crime thriller novels including the Stephanie Patrick series.

As a screenwriter, Mark also wrote the screenplay for the film adaptation of The Rhythm Section, the first book in his Stephanie Patrick series, starring Blake Lively and Jude Law.

Mark was born in Britain and grew up in Brazil. He is currently living in Northumberland with his wife, son and daughter.
