T. M. Alexander was born in Montreal, Canada, grew up in Buckingham, studied in Leeds and settled in Bristol. She is quite childish, likes short words better than long and rides a bike covered in green gaffer tape.
She has always liked stories but never expected to write one. Her first children’s book, Tribe: Jonno Joins, was published by Piccadilly Press in July 2009. It won the Hull Children's Book Award 2010, voted for by children. Three sequels followed, the most recent being Monkey Bars and Rubber Ducks, published in July 2011.
She is currently working on a new novel for children.
