Rachel Rooney

Rachel Rooney was born in London in 1962, the fifth of six children. She trained and worked as a teacher of Special Needs for many years before discovering her love of writing poetry.

She has had her poems published in numerous children's antholgies and her first solo collection, The Language of Cat, was published by Frances Lincoln in 2011. 

She now teaches children's poetry workshops and lives in Brighton with her three sons.
