David Wynn Millward

David Wynn Millward studied law at the University of St Andrews, Dundee then worked as a copywriter/Visualizer in Advertising before turning his hand to work as a freelance artist and cartoonist. He studied Painting, Drawing & Printmaking at the Royal Academy Schools and was awarded the Printmaking Prize '72 & '73 for Etching and Screenprinting, a Landseer scholarship and the Connoisseur Prize for Oil Painting. He went on to study at Goldsmith's College, University of London.

David has also illustrated several books including The Dragons of Snowdon, Wilfred's Wolf, Granny Grimm's Gruesome Glasses, Hot Dog, Cool Cat and Ill Will, Well Nell

David runs a Summer School of Painting with his wife, Jenny Nimmo, at their home in Montgomeryshire, Henllan Mill.
