Michelle Lipton graduated from the MA in Television Scriptwriting at De Montfort University in 2007 with the highest distinction awarded to date and having spent a year under the wing of mentor Barbara Machin.
Since then she has written for BBC1's daytime soap, Doctors, Channel 4's Hollyoaks, BBC Radio 4, Hat Trick Productions, Red Productions, Machine Productions, Savvy Productions, Brave Soldier Films, Film & Music Entertainment and Rutland Youth Arts. She is currently developing an original drama series for the in-house team at CBBC and has recently been commissioned to write series 5 of Amelia Bullmore's critically acclaimed detective series Craven for Red Productions/BBC Radio 4.
At the inaugural BBC Audio Drama Awards in January 2012, Michelle won the 2011 Imison Award for Best Original Drama Script by a Writer New to Radio for her Radio 4 series Amazing Grace.
