Michelle Lipton graduated from the MA in Television Scriptwriting at De Montfort University in 2007 with the highest distinction awarded to date and having spent a year under the wing of mentor Barbara Machin.
Since then she has written for BBC1's daytime soap, Doctors, BBC Radio 4, Hat Trick Productions, Red Productions, Machine Productions, Savvy Productions, Brave Soldier Films, Film & Music Entertainment and Rutland Youth Arts. She is currently on the writing team for Lime Pictures/Channel 4's Hollyoaks.
At the inaugural BBC Audio Drama Awards in January this year, Michelle won the 2011 Imison Award for Best Original Drama Script by a Writer New to Radio for her Radio 4 series Amazing Grace.
