Lucy Robinson’s debut novel, The Greatest Love Story of All Time, will be published by Penguin in April 2012.
Prior to writing Lucy worked first in West End theatre production and then factual television, working on documentaries for the BBC, ITV, Channel 4 and 5. Her writing career began when she started a popular dating blog for marieclaire.co.uk where she entertained readers with frank tales from her laughably unsuccessful foray into the world of internet dating.
In July 2010 Channel 4 turned their cameras on Lucy’s love life and aired Love, Virtually, a documentary about the pitfalls of courting in the digital age. The documentary was a great success and made a lot of women feel better about the shady stalking behaviours they had dabbled in while internet dating.
Lucy is from Gloucestershire where she grew up surrounded by stupid dogs, evil cats and nice horses. She recently conducted an early mid-life crisis abroad, living for six months in Buenos Aires and then travelling various other South American countries for a year. While there she met The Man, who, while being very nice has rather ruined her dating blog. Now back in London she lives with him in South London.
