Lucy started writing as soon as she could hold a pen at the age of 5, and has never stopped. Lucy went to London university where she read English, then worked on various newspapers (including the Observer and Evening Standard) before embarking on a writing career that has included advertising copywriting, journalism, scriptwriting and children's books.
Nickolai Of The North, a beguiling, wintry tale about the young elf who becomes what we know as Father Christmas, was published in October 2005 by Hodder Children's Books, followed by the equally magical sequel, Nickolai's Quest.
In 2003 Lion Books published five animal titles to tie in with one of Lucy's TV series, Animal Stories (BBC/Disney Channel). The books are Eric The Elephant, Peter The Peacock, Camilla The Camel, Ralph The Rabbit and Harry The Hippo.
