Saci Lloyd has been shortlisted for the Costa and the Guardian book awards.  Before becoming an internationally-acclaimed best-selling author and activist, Saci held down a bewildering variety of non-jobs, including being a storyboard artist, a cartoonist, a singer in a band, an animator and a script editor for Camouflage Films, where she was involved in several projects including a $20m Columbia Tri-Star co-production, Amy Foster. She recently stepped down as Head of Media at NewVIc, but continues her association with the East London college.
