Lindsey Bareham is a writer admired by home and professional cooks alike. Matthew Fort wrote in the Guardian that her writing is ‘calm, measured, assured, sensible, clever, useful, amusing ... I am almost of a mind that Lindsey Bareham’s books are all you need in a kitchen’. Her books have been shortlisted for the Andre Simon Award, the Good Food Book of the Year, the Glenfiddich food Book of the Year and the Guild of Food Writers' Cookery Book of the Year. She helped Simon Hopkinson write Roast Chicken and Other Stories, which won the 1994 Andre Simon Award and the 1995 Glenfiddich Award for Food Book of the Year and was voted 'Most Useful Cook Book Ever' by Waitrose Food Illustrated.

For many years she wrote a daily recipe for the Evening Standard and now writes weekly columns for The Times. She is also a regular contributor to Radio 4. Her new project, The Trifle Bowl, will be published in 2013 by Transworld.
