Emma Hogan

Emma grew up in Wicklow on the east coast of Ireland. In 2002, she graduated with a degree in Visual Communications from the Dublin Institute of Technology and got a job as an art director in a Dublin advertising agency. During her four years there she worked with clients such as Kellogg’s, BUPA Ireland and BMW and went on to win several Irish and International advertising awards for her tv and print ads.

Emma now lives in County Clare, in the west of Ireland. She works freelance on advertising projects, teaches graphic design and typography in the Cork Institute of Technology, writes silly children’s books about super silly things, and aspires to get her cat, Egbert, to ride in the basket at the front of her bike when she cycles to the shops.

Emma is currently writing and illustrating a series of books for readers aged 7+. While she completes them she continues to train Egbert.
