Jos Carlyle

Jos favours very visual writing and specialises in interactive scripts for book apps.

Her first interactive picture book app, The Gift, was published by Persian Cat Press in January 2012.

Her second interactive picture book app, Owls Don’t Growl, is due for release in June 2012.

Jos is an active advocate of interactive writing as an author skillset, believing that reading content for touchscreen generations must be as carefully crafted and curated by the publishing industry in the future as it has been in the past.

A conference and panel speaker on the subject, Jos also trains existing and emerging writers in the art of interactive writing, in particular writing for apps.

In addition to writing for touchscreen technology, Jos writes for traditional print.

Her children’s picture book, Take Hold of My Hand, will be published by Egmont in 2014.
