Tamora Pierce

Tamora Pierce is a New York Times and Wall Street Journal bestselling author, with 25 fantasy novels for teenagers in print world-wide.

Best known for writing stories involving young heroines, she made a name for herself with her first quartet The Song of the Lioness which followed the main character Alanna through the trials and triumphs of training as a knight. Her latest books, TerrierBloodhound and Mastiff are set in the same universe, approximately 200 years before Alanna.

In addition to books she has published martial arts movie reviews, stories, and articles.

She lives in New York with her Spouse-Creature, technomaven Tim Liebe, four cats, two parakeets, and various wildlife rescued from the park.
