Peter Green

Peter Green was born in 1924 and educated at Charterhouse and at Trinity College, Cambridge where he took a double first in Classics.

From 1963 to 1971 he lived and lectured in Greece. Since then he has been teaching at the University of Texas in Austin.

His books include three volumes of classical essays, studies of the Persian Wars and the Sicilian Expedition as well as a major biography of Alexander the Great.
