Jason Burke is a British journalist and author. He has been a staff foreign correspondent for the Guardian and the Observer, for nearly twenty years. He has lived and worked in the Middle East, South Asia, Europe and Africa.
Much of his reporting has focused on conflicts, and particularly Islamic militancy.
His books include Al-Qaeda, On the Road to Kandahar, and The 9/11 Wars. His most recent work is The New Threat; his next will be about the terrorism of the 1970s.
