Ira Levin

Ira Levin was born and lived in New York City. He wrote several novels, among them A Kiss Before Dying, The Stepford Wives, The Boys from Brazil and Son of Rosemary, all of which have been international bestsellers and many of which were adapted into major Hollywood movies.

He also wrote the longest-running thriller in Broadway history, Deathtrap, and the lyrics to the Barbra Streisand classic, ‘He Touched Me’.

A two-time winner of the Edgar Allen Poe Award, he also received the Horror Writers’ Association’s Bram Stoker Award for lifetime achievement.

He died in November 2007.
